The above is from Brooklyn’s owner, Kristen, who has been training her for some time.  Additionally, Brooklyn passed her herding Instinct Test and below are the photos from that.

Although she won two majors the weekend prior, we believe that the more socialization she can experience, the better!  While we were there, we ran into Miss Kathy.  Kathy has been the temperament evaluator for our last two litters.  She meets them for the first time at the evaluation and has no preconceived ideas about the litters.  She then leads them through a variety of tests and scores them without discussing it with us until its all over.

She is also a Old English breeder and avid conformation handler.  Two pics of Kathy and Pasha in the ring!

Joy:  Can’t wait to see all the old friends and meet some new ones
Anxiety:  Oh, the logistics of it all!  Traveling from coast to coast to coast can be so exhausting
Confidence:  This will be another successful event and people will walk away happy once again!
Regret:  Wish I could bring my dogs but that’s just too far and too messy of a travel schedule
Glee:  can’t wait to spend some time in San Fran as well
Hunger:  My first stop will be a Mexican restaurant
Fear:  That it will rain on my parade

I’ve started my preparations for the trip in a few weeks.  We’ve never held the event in Sacramento and I love the fact that we don’t repeat locations [or even states] often. Travel gets to be a bear and with the Belgian Malinois population being fairly low, it causes some of these events to be large regionals but hey, that’s the one benefit/drawback to not having an American Top 40 dog.  It sort of makes for a very comfy and intimate affair.  Plus that leaves MUCH more beer and food to go around.

I’ve attended other Nationals [The Collie Nationals being the largest] and it doesn’t have the same family reunion/class reunion type of atmosphere.  You recognize some folks, you are surprised at others, and there is always a new “freshman” who’s joined the crowd.  I’ve got my Malinois gear lined up and not so surprisingly, all my favorite clothes are from Beauty of the Beast!  Camera is cleaned up, batteries are on charge stand-by, and laptop backpack is, well, packed.

Computer:  Macbook Pro [laptop] and Mac Pro [desktop]

Monitors: an HP 24″ HDMI monitor and a Acer 22″ that also accepts an HD signal.

Video:  I am using Angela’s Canon PowerShot SX10 IS which is a point and shoot camera with video capability.

We use bluehost.com for our website hosting and Wordpress for the actual website/blog.

Ok, enough plugs! But I hope that answers all the questions about camera, software, who, what, when, etc. etc. blah blah blah!

I’m going to be able to handle the pups more in order to get better pictures. They are very mobile and we have a 3-4 brave souls lifting themselves up versus just pushing themselves around. I then headed off to the garage to prepare her a morning meal.
Being a smart dog who rules the house, she let herself back in and came to the door leading out to the garage…WITH A BALL IN HER MOUTH.  She’s two days removed from birthing a litter and she’s all fired up to play ball.  Typical Tammy! And she took the ball back to the whelping box.  I guess she wants to get the pups started off early.

is very outgoing, athletic and insanely ball/Frisbee/toy-driven.
