The Belgian Malinois is a highly athletic, intelligent and active breed. These are traits that first drew us into the Belgian Malinois. Once you have brought one into your life, you discover how much more there is to fall in love with. The Malinois can bring endless joy and at times, heartache. But throughout the journey with this wonderful breed, you will realize your life is so much more enriched than it would have been without a "Maligator" by your side.
Bobby and Angela live in Frederick County near Winchester, Virginia which is located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of northern Virginia, about an hour west of Washington, DC.
Their breeding program takes into consideration temperment and character, first and foremost, as well as the physical health of the parents. The utmost concern is spent on development of the litter through the first few weeks of their lives, and training and upbringing of the Malinois once accepted into their loving homes. We stand by our puppies, not just as breeders, but as champions of the breed and friends of their new owners.
This blog will present you with the images, stories, and videos of our Malinois. At times, we will carry a story and a picture from our extended Malinois family. Feel free to contact us or comment on our site.
Today is a del Rio anniversary. We have been married four wonderful years and have been del Rio just over 10 years. We took some time to give the dogs some play time. The last picture is from a herding trial in which turkeys were on the menu and a Sheltie thought that was just fine!

Maya is bred by Sue Haase http://www.rouletsmalinois.com/ from the Wildflower Litter [3/5/2011]. She is just two months older than Dublin. She has an awesome temperament and exhibits the finer points that we are seeking from her sire.

I really enjoy being around this boy. Every time I see him, something good happens. The first time, he went Winner’s Dog at the Malinois National Specialty [best non-champion male]. This time, he finished his championship and took Best of Breed over a very large entry [16 or 17 total]. Strong Work by handler JoAnn Charnik! She has finished two dogs from our breeding. She also owns Cowboy’s sire [Bond, Ch. No-How So Far Away].
July 10, 2011 - 9:29 pmTorrie Brown - Don't let Bono know I said this, but Dubby is one gorgeous pup!
I see he's already killing the cones. Sharp laddie.:)
Cowboy playing in the water with Hanna in Florida. Cowboy is Allee Sablee Cheyenne del Rio RA CGC and is working in obedience and agility while looking for that last elusive conformation major.
Well, there were majors [and 12 Malinois all together] so we went a huntin’……and got nothin’……but FUN!
Nino and Thai did well in Rally. Bono….well, Bono was Bono in conformation.
Ran into Carole Corbin and her pretty girl in Rally – who kicked butt with a 95!
We also had a family come down to visit with our Mali’s. Great family and the boys were just so wonderful with our Malinois.
